In 2022 AWE was contracted by Fulton Hogan (principal contractor) to undertake all required works for the design, supply, manufacture, freight and delivery, and Site Acceptance Testing of Penstocks and Stopboards for Mt Kynoch Water Treatment Plant Stage 4 Enhancement Works.
Staged capacity upgrade of the Mt Kynoch water treatment plant from 55ML/day to 79ML/day to enable water security for the region, while planning is completed for the next phase of water treatment infrastructure.
$21.5 million has been allocated in the 2022/23 budget for the stage four works.
Start date: July 2022.
Completion date: June 2023.
